it was the premiere of America Assassination. And there was so much love in the audience, we are truly thankful! And as tremendously great as it was, it was great BECAUSE OF YOU & your relentless support. So we thank you for sharing and witnessing the premiere of "the rest of our lives."

Brief Synopsis of Play: America Assassination gives the inside look into an Urban community, where characters share stories through up-tempo rhythms, music, humor, and poetry. The mysterious, King Joe, has dreamt into the future and he tells the community that there is a UFO (A Big African Space Ship) that is about to come save the people and bring them back into the land of freedom. A Tourist Guide suddenly appears, who then brings outside travelers into the community who are depicted as danger. He reminds one to never forget his pain and that one must always cope with pain, or else he will never reach his true potential. A dynamic play that delve into the lives of citizens in a community where it seems hope is at lost. As one tends to give up, the unique stories remind us that we must fight for ourselves, we must fight for our families, and we must fight for our communities.

What motivates you?

Everyday we must choose. Life is a series of choices.

Over the past week, I've jumpstarted everyday by working out. Usually, I work out two to three times a week, so this was new for me.

This morning I woke up and thought to myself, "Do I really want to work out today?" and I almost decided against it.

Happy, I didn't, and I hope that I continue the new regimen. I have to constantly remind myself of my "why." Or else, my body and mind will have no trouble trying to remind me of my "why bother."

What is my why?

..because fitness is tremendously significant in my health.

...because I don't want to identify with high blood pressure or diabetes.

...because I am still blessed to move my body whenever I want to.

...because it makes me feel good mentally, physically and emotionally.

I can think of many more but those are a few.

What is your "why" for what you do?

Uphill Victory

I want to change the world. Make a huge impact on the existing standards and conformities. I am not content with the idea of lining up and following the trend, and submitting to the politics of the corporate world. With such a large vision, it is sometimes difficult to relish, let alone, accept the process. But there is so much to be gained along the journey. We must reign in the small successes so that we can recognize when our equation has brought results.

It's all about the process.

We must focus on and ENJOY the process. Magnify your mini successes along the way.

Celebrate as you go up the mountain.

Nelson Mandela

On December 5th, we lost one of the greatest leaders of our time. But while he has left this earth his legacy lives on forever inside of each and everyone of us. He has impacted the world in ways we could have never predicted and in ways we can never replicate. However, we can still take the torch, keep it burning and command greatness from the world we live in.

IT IS IN OUR HANDS.

The following is an incerpt from the homepage of Nelson Mandela's website ... www.nelsonmandela.org

“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.” — Nelson Mandela

We know all South Africans and indeed the world join us in this profound sense of loss and sadness on the death of our beloved Founder, Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela.

Our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences are with the Mandela Family and friends at this time.

Let us stand together now and in the days ahead, and do what needs to be done to honour with dignity Tata Madiba. We know you share with many of us the same passionate wish to see Nelson Mandela’s legacy being kept alive and made available to the world.

His legacy lives on in all of us – it is in our hands now.

Hamba kahle Madiba.
